My Internet is Not Working. What Should I Check First?
Before contacting support, please perform these quick steps in order. This often resolves over 80% of reported issues.
1. Check Your Power
Verify power to your modem and router. If your devices are unplugged or you have a local power outage, your internet cannot work.
This confirms the issue is internal to your home/building, not necessarily a network problem.
2. Check All Lights
Check the indicator lights on your modem and router. You are looking for a solid connection light (often labeled “Online,” “Internet,” or “Service”).
If the lights are blinking or red, it indicates a problem connecting to our network, which means you need to go to Step 4. If all lights are solid and correct, proceed to Step 3.
3. Power Cycle Your Equipment
Unplug both your modem and your WiFi router from the power outlet. Wait 60 seconds. Plug the modem back in first, wait until its lights stabilize (2-3 minutes), then plug the router back in.
This simple reboot resolves most temporary glitches, errors and connectivity hang-ups by forcing the equipment to establish a fresh connection.
4. Check Cables & Connections
Ensure all cables are securely plugged in to the back of the modem/router and the wall outlet (especially coaxial or fiber lines).
Loose or damaged cables are a frequent cause of intermittent or complete loss of service.
5. Check Our Status Page
Check our official Outage Status Page to see if there is a known service disruption in your area.
If we are already aware of an outage, you can monitor our page for updates instead of waiting on hold, which saves you time.
6. Isolate the WiFi
Try connecting a device directly to your router or modem using an Ethernet cable.
If the connection works via Ethernet but not WiFi, the issue is with your WiFi settings or router, not the main internet line.

My TV Service is Not Working. What Should I Check First?
Before contacting support, please perform these quick steps in order. This often resolves issues caused by simple user errors or temporary glitches.
1. Check Power and Inputs
Verify your TV, Set-Top Box (STB)/Receiver and/or streaming devices are plugged in and powered on. Ensure your TV is set to the correct input (HDMI 1, Video 1, etc.) that connects to the STB and/or streaming devices.
A simple check to confirm the right gear is running and the TV is looking at the correct source.
2. Check STB Display, Streaming Device and Lights
Look at the front display of your STB/Receiver and/or streaming devices. If it shows an error code (like “E-16”) or just “–:–“, it indicates a connection or authorization problem.
If there’s an error code, it gives our support team a head start. If the clock is blank, it may not be receiving a signal.
3. Power Cycle Your Equipment
Unplug the power cord from the STB/Receiver and/or streaming devices (not the TV). Wait 60 seconds. Plug it back in and wait 2-3 minutes for it to completely reboot and re-initialize.
This is the most common fix for frozen pictures, missing channels, and temporary access errors by forcing the STB and/or streaming devices to re-authorize service.
4. Check Cables & Connections
Ensure the coaxial cable (for cable/satellite) or Ethernet/Fiber cable is securely plugged into the back of the STB and/or streaming devices and the wall outlet. Check the HDMI/RCA cable going from the STB and/or streaming devices to the TV.
Loose or damaged cables are a frequent cause of “No Signal” messages, picture pixelation, or missing audio.
5. Isolate the TV Issue
If you have multiple TVs, check a different TV/STB/Streaming Device in your home.
If the service works on another TV, the issue is specific to the first TV, its STB, the streaming device or the cable running to that room. If both are out, the issue is with the main service line.

My Landline Phone Service is Not Working. What Should I Check First?
Before contacting support, please perform these quick steps in order. This guide applies primarily to digital or VoIP-based landlines, as the fix is often power-related.
1. Check Your Phone's Dial Tone
Pick up the phone handset and listen for a clear, consistent dial tone.
No dial tone means the service is completely out. A garbled or intermittent tone suggests a line issue.
2. Check Phone Equipment
If you have a cordless phone, ensure the phone base is plugged into power and the handset battery is charged. If possible, try a corded phone directly in the wall jack.
Cordless phones rely on power and charged batteries; testing with a corded phone eliminates the base/battery as the cause.
3. Check Your Modem/IAD Power
If your phone service runs through your Internet Modem/Gateway (sometimes called an IAD or “voice adapter”), verify it has power and the “Voice” or “Tel” indicator light is solid green.
Your digital phone service depends on this device running. If the light is off or blinking, the phone service is not active.
4. Power Cycle Your Equipment
Unplug the power cord from the Modem/IAD. Wait 60 seconds. Plug it back in and wait 2-3 minutes for it to fully reboot.
This often restores the “Voice” circuit after a power flicker or temporary communication error.
5. Isolate the Jack/Phone Issue
Try plugging the phone into a different phone jack in your home.
If the phone works in one jack but not another, the issue is likely with the wiring to the non-working jack, not the main phone line.
